I've been in a bit of a creative slump the last few months and have really had a hard time sharing my recent work. I've also been thinking long and hard about the direction in which our Life With The Crooks brand should go in. I've definitely thought about quitting this whole thing more than a few times, to keep it 1000% real with ya'll.
I've been noticing lately that I'm more in love with my past work than I am with my recent work and it's made me pretty sad. I'm asking myself a lot what was different then and what's happening now that I'm just in this blah mood with all the new work I'm shooting.
2018 #lwtccouples sessions
In going back and forth with myself and talking with my husband, I came to the conclusion that I need to hit the pause button, take a break, and take on more projects that will spark some creative fire in me again. I want to capture more of our family outings and the day to day with the kids and take LWTC back to the basics, back to where we started from for a bit and see where things go.
I love, love, LOVE my families and couples sessions, but I'm excited and looking forward to slowing down for a bit and let creativity + inspiration find it's way back into my work.
Lastly, I'm trying to change the way I share my work and communicate with you all. For the rest of this year I want to not rely so heavily on all the social media platforms we're currently using. So I'm starting fresh with new blog posts and holding myself accountable to stay consistent with posting here first before going on IG or Facebook.
So if you're reading this, and you haven't yet signed up to our mailing list, and you'd like to be the first one notified of any new posts or updates, sign up before you leave! I'd love to have you stick around and join the #lwtcfam.
Until the next post,
